Unrelated to the Talea project, Parkbench Architects enlisted me to photograph the Penn District location of Roberta’s, which boasts wall to wall windows and floor to ceiling character with all of the local-artist produced graffiti and ‘street art.’
As a fan of Talea’s beers, it was exciting to get the assignment to photograph one of their new locations, as part of the growing empire. The space featured the sunny and bright design of the other locations, while including the reclaimed floors and industrial ceiling to pay homage to the space’s history.
The Hook is a mix between a circus and a burlesque show at Caeser’s Palace in Atlantic City. Spiegelworld, who has a running show in Las Vegas, and similar shows and restaurants around the world brought me down to the beach to shoot the theater and adjacent restaurant and bar spaces.
I am a fan of beer, so it’s always a joy to be able to shoot in a brewery, especially one that I have visited for fun - The Other Half Brewing Company. In a not-so-busy area of Gowanus, the brewery was teeming with people when I visited it on a sunny Saturday. The space has various spaces that can be rented for events and they all need photos, some of which you’ll find below.
